Day 114

My brother-in-law is notorious for being late. Not just a few minutes late, but really really late. For holidays, for birthdays, for just "I'm coming over to do _____". He's late. Hours late. We've all grown used to this, well, except my mom who asked today if we were waiting for Shane before sitting down for lunch. We'd have waited 3 hours! After cleaning up and scurring the kids outside to play, we set Shane's place setting at the table. Like it? He chuckled too. Especially with the nice touch of Mr. Daniels at the top. And for the record, he never did eat off the china this year. He'd rather we all look at them than use them.

Day 113

Ryan cleaned out this cabinet, all. by. himself.! shocking.
so I found the need to catch it on camera.

Day 110

I love this determined face, concentrating so hard at the task at hand.
I love this sweet girl.

Day 105

Dear Caribou: I love you tremendously.
However, the new northern lite coolers leave a lot to be desired.
That is, unless you enjoy the taste of playdou.
And admit it, you know exactly what playdou tastes like!

Day 103

A special someone has just transitioned to the preschool classroom at school; she is so very proud to be carrying her backpack into school now! It's been in her possession for months, but hasn't ever left the house as we couldn't see the point of dragging 2 backpacks along every morning. Well, the day has come where she deserves to carry her "pack pack" into school too.

Day 102

I looked over to the end of my desk today and AHHH! This dude was scaling the side of the hospital. Not to worry, he was just cleaning my windows. They like to startle me every year by showing up on the outside of my window unannounced. But boy, they're sure squeaky clean now :)

Day 101

Seeing this plant makes me teary eyed. I will likely post the progress over the course of the next few weeks. This plant is near and dear to my heart; it's from my grandmother's garden. A fern peony. It's so special that although it was planted at our old house, it was written into the contract as an "exclusion". Yes, I wanted to be absolutely certain that "Fern" would be coming with us :)
I'm just so excited the transplant seems to have worked!

Day 100

Day 100!?
And to celebrate, I'm posting not one, but 3 pictures!

Mixing these three together creates a yummy, delicious treat.

Messy but incredible!

mmmmmmm!
I thought it was delicious too :)
But I'll leave the cute 'chocolate-all-over-my-face' pictures to Sidney!

Day 99

Where's Waldo? There are actually 2. See the other guy?

Day 98

Packing up the clothes that resemble winter....and it feels good!

Day 96

Regan's working on spelling. Today she set out the alphabet train and asked me to tell her a name that would fit its length. Not an easy task, considering there is only ONE of each letter. This was the best I could come up with: GRANDP LEO. Yep, minus one "A". Not bad :)

Day 95

This house lives just up the street.
We've seen the back of the home....it has a spectacular view of the city
and today we just had to see the front. WOW!
Regan asked "mommy, why didn't we move into THIS house?".

Day 94

Sky-high scoops! Although the lady's voice is annoying on the game, we love to play this one together and it's great fun because Sidney can easily play along without help!
